I am going into my 3rd week of ownership with my new 2012 Prius. As with my previous vehicles, the first sets of accessory I purchase for the car are strictly functional and organizational. I’m a very organized person and that trait carries straight to how I arrange things in my car. As of now, I’ve added the following accessories:
- 35% tint all around
- Carmate lower console cup holder and organization tray
- exLEDusa 10-pc interior LED upgrades
- Toyota Cargo Net
- Toyota Cargo Tote (by Tote Logic)
- Toyota First Aid kit
- Toyota Prius all-weather cargo liner
- Toyota Prius all-weather floor mats
- Toyota Prius sub-cargo organizer tray
- Visual Garage shark fin antenna upgrade
Still waiting for the Toyota Emergency Roadside Assistance kit and front sunshade by HeatShield to complete the set. I also learned from PriusChat.com that the 2012 3rd gen Prius 2, 3 and 4 can have integrated fog lights. The install is not as straight forward since it requires ordering a lower center grill with fog light openings from Toyota. The project will probably cost about $250.00. For all those that are interested in tackling this project, the required parts to have integrated fog lights on your 2012 Prius 2, 3, or 4 are:
- 2x spring nuts, part number: 90183-06019
- 1x lower center grill, part number: 53112E (with front fog lamp)
You can use aftermarket OEM-style 2010-2011 Prius fog lamp kit which can be purchase for $90.00 on eBay. Stay tuned for a do-it-yourself guide once I get around to it.
