Excuse the slight mess as I dust off the cover and prepare this blog for consistent updates. I am still deciding on the appropriate theme to use. Amidst the mess, I will be creating a new photo series that pays homage to the California coastline and adjacent towns to jumpstart the Machanon Gallery.
The series will be called “Coastal California” and will only focus on the coast of California and the towns that resides within close proximity; stretching from Morro Bay to Crescent City. The series will begin with the coastline I’m most familiar: the coast along the Pacific Coast Highway 1 from Morro Bay to Carmel-by-the-Sea. As time becomes more abundant, I’ll be traveling further up north to shoot some beautiful northern California coastlines and sidetracking into other areas, such as the Avenue of the Giants.
This project will be updated on a continuous basis, as the California coast stretches for hundreds of miles. I will kick off the series by photographing the local towns of Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria and San Simeon this Sunday. The photoventure will start at 4:30AM and last until approximately 8:00PM. I got my Starbucks VIA Ready Brew coffee thermal and a pack of Columbian VIA roast, so I’m ready to hit the road.
